|
|
| History: |
- The VFW-PAC was formed in 1979. According to federal law, the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States cannot legally endorse candidates. Establishing a Political Action Committee paved the way for the VFW to represent veterans on Capitol Hill. This committee is a separate, bipartisan organization; it endorses and supports veterans advocates regardless of parties. The committee is charged with the single task of working in Congress to promote legislation that supports veterans entitlements and a strong national defense.
